The third ODI between New Zealand and India will be played at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui, Tauranga. Used mostly for men’s and women’s limited-overs matches by both Northern Districts Cricket Association and the national side, Bay Oval has hosted 9 ODIs and 7 T20Is.
The ground also hosted its first – and till date, only – Test this November, when BJ Watling famously scored 205 and Mitchell Santner 126 before Neil Wagner (5/44) bounced England out to secure a win.
The last 2 ODIs at the venue were both played between New Zealand and India, in 2018-19. India had won both matches, by 90 runs and 7 wickets.
