IPL 2019, Orange and Purple Caps, updated after KXIP vs RCB: Rahul, Gayle, Buttler, Kohli, AB, Chahal, Shami rise

Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore, the two teams still at the bottom both won Saturday’s double-header in IPL 2019. The day also witnessed a significant overhaul in the runs chart.

David Warner (349) still holds the Orange Cap, though the gap between him and KL Rahul (18 in 15 balls today) – the next batsman on the list – is a mere 14. Both Chris Gayle (99* in 64) and Andre Russell have crossed the 300-mark, while Jos Buttler (89 in 43) is at five.

The RCB big guns – Virat Kohli (67 in 53) and AB de Villiers (59* in 38) – have reentered the top ten, as has Quinton de Kock (81 in 52). Jonny Bairstow (263), second till a few days ago, has slid to the seventh spot.
