West Indies‘ win against Afghanistan did little to alter the sequence of the teams in the 2019 World Cup points table. However, the victory meant that West Indies can still finish 8th – if South Africa lose by some margin against Australia. Here is how all the teams stand.

Australia: Qualified. Will also top the table (and avoid playing England) if they beat South Africa. If they cannot they will hope Sri Lanka beat India.
India: Qualified. They will play England unless they beat Sri Lanka and South Africa beat Australia.
England: Will face Australia or India in the semi-final.
New Zealand and Pakistan: Pakistan will qualify if and only if Pakistan bat first and score 350 and bowl Bangladesh out for 12; or score 400 and get them out for 84; or 450 and 129; and so on. If they bowl first, they do not qualify. And if they do not, New Zealand go through.
Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and South Africa will not qualify for the semi-final. West Indies and Afghanistan have not qualified.
