The 2019 ICC ODI World Cup is the 12th edition of the World Cup. A total of 10 teams are playing the tournament this time, which is being played in England and Wales. This time the format of the tournament is a full round-robin format. This means that every team will play every other team once. There is no group or pool system this time. After the round-robin stage the top four teams will then progress to the semi-finals. The ten teams that are taking part in the tournament this time are: England (hosts), Australia, Bangladesh, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and West Indies. Australia are the most successful nation in the history of the ICC ODI World Cup with five titles. The Aussies are also the defending champions. India have won the title twice – in 1983 and 2011. In the history of the tournament Sachin Tendulkar is the overall highest run-getter with 2278 runs and Glenn McGrath is the overall highest wicket-taker with 71 wickets.
