Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019-20: Preview – October 6

Four fixtures of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019-20 are scheduled for October 6. One Elite Group B and three Elite Group C matches will be played at Vadodara and Jaipur.

Elite Group B (at Vadodara)- Haryana vs Punjab

The points table cannot reflect the true essence of this fixture. Haryana are currently ranked at second position whereas Punjab are standing at eighth place. But Punjab were been unlucky as two of their matches were washed out. Their only full game saw them winning comfortably as Haryana also won their two full matches. So both are on the same pages and this will be a tough competition.

Elite Group C (at Jaipur)- Services vs Jammu & Kashmir

The fifth team of the Elite, Group C points table, Services are in a better position than Jammu & Kashmir with an extra win to their name. Services with two back to back win are favourites for this fixture. J & K, placed at the seventh position lost their last match. They need to focus on their bowling unit more after some impeccable performances from the batsmen.

Elite Group C (at Jaipur)- Railways vs Rajasthan

With one win out of four fixtures, Railways are in a superior position than Rajasthan. The latter lost all their five games so far. But this is, in all likelihood, going to be a close match. Railways got their only win in their first match and then went on to lose three consecutive games. So no favourites can be predicted from this fixture as such.

Elite Group C (at Jaipur)- Tamil Nadu vs Tripura

The most interesting match of the day will be staged between Tamil Nadu and Tripura. Tamil Nadu won all their five matched to lead the table. Tripura are at third place with three wins. One of their defeats came in a close encounter against Services and the match against Gujarat saw them falling short of 101 runs while chasing a mammoth 305. Tamil Nadu have all the chances to win this game but with Tripura, anything can happen.
