October 5 will feature 7 matches of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019-20 – two in Elite Group A, three in each of Elite Group B, two more in the Plate Group.

Elite Group A (at Alur and Bengaluru): Andhra vs Mumbai, Hyderabad vs Jharkhand

Andhra are bottom of the pile in the tournament so far, having won one and lost two of their three matches, and they take on a Mumbai side that will look at them as an opportunity to build on their six points in three matches. Elsewhere, high-flying Hyderabad, will come in on the back of their victory over Karnataka against Jharkhand, who finally got their campaign off the mark victory over Kerala.

Elite Group B (at Vadodara): Baroda vs Haryana, Delhi vs Maharashtra, Punjab vs Vidarbha

Vadodara matches have been affected by rain throughout, and the hope is that these matches can take place. In their one completed match, Baroda lost to Delhi last time out. Maharashtra, Punjab and Vidarbha have been involved in three washouts so far.

Plate Group (at Dehradun): Arunachal Pradesh vs Sikkim, Manipur vs Meghalaya

Of the lot, only Meghalaya have secured victory so far. All of Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Manipur make up the bottom of the table, and are yet to win a match.
