October 13 will feature 5 matches of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019-20, with two matches in Elite Group B, and three in the Plate Group.

Elite Group B (at Vadodara): Odisha vs Baroda, Himachal Pradesh vs Maharashtra

Baroda are bottom of the cross pool table with just one win in their five matches, and desperately need victory against Odisha on Sunday. However, having won that first match against Maharashtra in their last round, the confidence in the side is definitely up. It’s about making the most of that, especially with Odisha being inconsistent. The case with Himachal Pradesh and Maharashtra is similar, with Maharashtra placed at a lowly 15th with just one win, while Himachal have won three of their five matches.

Plate Group (at Dehradun): Arunachal Pradesh vs Assam, Manipur vs Mizoram, Uttarakhand vs Sikkim

Uttarakhand will have a chance to go to the top of the table when they clash against Sikkim on Sunday. Puducherry are currently the No.1 side in the table, but are not in action this round, meaning if Uttarakhand win – as seems likely, with Sikkim losing six of their seven matches so far – they will go top. Assam can similarly move up to No.3 with victory over Arunachal, who are embroiled in a lower-table battle involving Manipur and Mizoram as well.
