As on November 8, the 2019-20 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy will feature 18 matches on the second day of the tournament, November 9.

Group A: Baroda vs Karnataka, Services vs Uttarakhand (both Kolkata), Bihar vs Goa (Bokaro)

Having beaten Uttarakhand comfortably, defending champions Karnataka will now face Baroda, who were beaten by Goa. Uttarakhand themselves will play Services, who did not get a match on Day 1. After being thrashed by Andhra, Bihar will now play Goa.

Predicted winners: Karnataka, Services, Goa

Group B: Manipur vs Tripura, Tamil Nadu vs Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh vs Vidarbha (all Thiruvananthapuram)

Tripura and Manipur had lost their respective first matches by huge margins, to Vidarbha and Rajasthan respectively. They will now clash on Day 2. Vidarbha themselves will play Uttar Pradesh, who did not play on Day 1, while Rajasthan will take on Tamil Nadu, who have beaten Kerala.

Predicted winners: Tripura, Tamil Nadu, Vidarbha

Group C: Arunachal Pradesh vs Punjab, Chhattisgarh vs Himachal Pradesh, Hyderabad vs Railways, Maharashtra vs Chandigarh (all Chandigarh)

Chhattisgarh, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Maharashtra, and Chandigarh have all won their respective first matches. The last two will now face each other, while the first two will meet Himachal Pradesh and Railways respectively. Arunachal Pradesh and Punjab will face in the other match of the group.

Predicted winners: Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Hyderabad, Maharashtra

Group D: Assam vs Madhya Pradesh, Puducherry vs Meghalaya, Bengal vs Mizoram, Haryana vs Mumbai (Mumbai)

Mumbai had won the only decided match of the day, against Mizoram. The other teams will take field for the first time in the tournament.

Predicted winners: Madhya Pradesh, Puducherry, Bengal, Mumbai

Group E: Delhi vs Odisha, Jharkhand vs Saurashtra, Gujarat vs Jammu & Kashmir, Nagaland vs Sikkim (all Surat)

As in Group D, only one match yielded result, where Saurashtra beat Nagaland.

Predicted winners: Delhi, Saurashtra, Gujarat, Sikkim
