The current Ranji Trophy structure consists of four groups- Elite Group A, B, C, and Plate Group. Most of the new states come under Plate Group. In this season most of the records have been registered by the players from those relatively newer teams from Plate Group.

Rahul Dalal from Arunachal Pradesh scored the most runs in this year’s Ranji Trophy. He is also the only batsman to have more than 1000 runs to his name.
