The second match of Global T20 Canada 2019 will be played between Montreal Tigers and Winnipeg Hawks on July 26 at Brampton.

Last season with two wins and four loses the Tigers had a tough time and they finished fifth. The Hawks, on the other hand, won three out of six fixtures to finish third. They reached the last qualifier but were beaten by Vancouver Knights, the eventual champions.

Montreal Tigers, with a bunch of star players on their side and an experienced one like George Bailey, will like to progress from the group stage this time. The West Indies all-rounder Sunil Narine will have a key role to play along with the big hitter like Kyle Coetzer. Sean Abbott, Thisara Perera, Dinesh Chandimal, and Keemo Paul are among the other players to grab attention.

Winnipeg Hawks have the commanding top order with the Chris Lynn, JP Duminy, and Dwayne Bravo. Umar Akmal will like to prove himself after missing out on a World Cup opportunity. Dwayne Smith will be another key all-rounder along with Bravo.

Head to head: These two teams met once in the 2018 edition where Hawks had a convincing win by 46 runs.

Key Players:

Sunil Narine (Montreal Tigers)- This West Indian bowler is a famous name in T20 cricket circuit. He is able to chip in quick runs at crucial moments and equally effective with the ball to confuse the batsmen. His experience of playing T20 leagues is undoubtedly a major advantage.

Chris Lynn (Winnipeg Hawks)- Lynn is famous for his stints in Big Bash League and IPL. Even his last IPL 2019 saw him going for big hits in the first few overs. His strike rate in the shortest format cricket makes him an asset for the team, especially during the powerplays.
