A high-scoring second day at IPL 2019 pushed Parthiv Patel, top-scorer in the opening match, out of the top ten in the list of highest run-scorers. David Warner celebrated his return to cricket with a 53-ball 85 against Kolkata Knight Riders. Nobody has scored more than him till now.
Nitish Rana (68 in 47) came close, and while Andre Russell (49* in 19) sealed the match in KKR’s favour, there were not enough runs to be made for him to usurp Warner. And in the second match, Rishabh Pant (78* in 27) came even closer, while Yuvraj Singh got 53 off 35 balls.
