India vs Australia, 4th ODI statistical preview: History favours tourists at Mohali

India Australia Virat Kohli Rohit Sharma Adam Zampa

Australia clawed back into the series with a win in the fourth ODI, at Ranchi. The margin of 32 runs flattered India, for other than Virat Kohli (123 in 95 balls) nobody went past 35. Usman Khawaja slammed his first ODI hundred, Aaron Finch returned to form with 93, and Adam Zampa bowled magnificently.

But even then, the fact remains that India still lead the series 2-1, and are favourites going into the fourth ODI. Australia have not batted well at the death, and they have to stop an in-form Kohli. As for India, one of their major worries is the repeated failure of their much-famed opening pair of Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma.

Ahead of the fourth ODI, at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali, Chandigarh, here is a statistical preview.
