David Warner (53 in 61 balls) and Aaron Finch (100 in 116) put up 123 for the opening stand against England at Lord’s, their third century partnership of the 2019 World Cup. In the process Warner became the first batsman of the tournament to touch the 500-run mark. Warner he is on exactly 500 while Finch is 4 runs behind him.

Despite his failure, Joe Root (8 in 9) remained on fourth spot. The last three spots in the top ten now belong to Ben Stokes (89 in 115 today), Steven Smith (38 in 34), and Eoin Morgan (4 in 7).
