South Africa Women won their first fixture of the Women’s T20 World Cup by beating England Women at Perth. Nat Sciver scored 50 and saved the English innings at first. They set a target of 124 which was achieved by the Proteas with two balls remaining.
Dane van Niekerk and Marizanne Kapp scored 46 and 38 respectively to take South Africa to a secure position. Sciver is in third place now whereas van Niekerk and Kapp are enjoying fifth and seventh positions in the batting table.
