Chris Lynn Brisbane Heat

The 2019-20 BBL is just about a week old, but some leaders have already emerged. Jake Weatherald, yet to play an international match, and Matt Renshaw, stereotyped as a Test cricket specialist, are at the top of the runs chart, equal on runs and averages, Weatherald having a superior strike rate.

It is still too early to calculate best averages: Callum Ferguson leads at this stage, followed by Marcus Stoinis, though that has to do with the fact that they have both been dismissed once in the tournament so far.
