5 Players that could be on the move in the 2023 Summer Transfer Window

The 2023 football transfer window has already picked up speed, with Real Madrid signing Jude Bellingham for an eye-watering sum of €103 million and Liverpool raiding Brighton for World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister. Veteran superstars Lionel Messi, Karim Benzema, and N’Golo Kante have also waved goodbye to Europe this summer and there could be plenty of more movement across the major leagues before deadline day.

Here are five players that could be on the move in the 2023 transfer window.

Moises Caicedo (Brighton)

Clubs interested: Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United

Moises Caicedo has attracted plenty of attention among the top clubs in Europe after his fantastic displays for Brighton last season. Brighton rejected two advances from Arsenal in January for the Ecuadorian midfielder, but the Seagulls could be willing to let the 21-year-old go if a bigger offer arrives this summer. Toddy Boehly’s Chelsea are reportedly leading the race for Caicedo’s signature, with the Blues desperate to find a long-term partner for Enzo Fernandez in midfield, but it could take a bid over £80 million to prise the highly-rated youngster out of Brighton.

Mason Mount (Chelsea)

Clubs interested: Manchester United, Liverpool, Newcastle United

Mason Mount could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge this summer, with Chelsea looking to cash in on their academy star before his contract expires next year. The Blues need to raise funds by selling players to comply with FFP regulations and have set a £70m asking price for the Champions League winner this summer. Although Manchester United’s reported opening bid of £40m falls short of that valuation, the Red Devils could return with an improved offer as they look to bolster their midfield ranks in the off-season.

Declan Rice (West Ham)

Clubs interested: Arsenal, Manchester City

Declan Rice could be one of the biggest names making a move this summer, with West Ham United resigned to selling their skipper as he enters the final two years of his contract. Having taken the Hammers to European glory in the Conference League last season, the 24-year-old is primed for a step-up and Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have emerged as the favourites to secure the Englishman’s services.

The Gunners are in desperate need of a midfield overhaul with Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka approaching the end of their prime, and Rice could be the perfect signing for the North London club, adding to their burgeoning young core and strengthening their bid for a title charge next season.

Harry Kane

Clubs interested: Manchester United, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich With only a year remaining on his contract, there is plenty of speculation surrounding Harry Kane’s future this summer. Although Tottenham are unwilling to let their star forward join a rival at this stage of their rebuild, Spurs may be resigned to letting their record goal-scorer leave if the right offer
