Ellyse Perry Ashes hundred Taunton

Women’s Tests are, unfortunately, a fading concept. Only 10 Tests were played in the entire decade, of which eight were part of the Women’s Ashes. One of these was played at Taunton this year: it ended in a draw. Ellyse Perry dominated the Test with 116 and 76 not out (and 1/44), while Sophie Molineux picked up 4/95.

One-day Internationals

Australia also dominated the ODIs, winning all 12 of their matches. India won 9 of their 12.

ICC’s decision to grant T20I status to internationals between all teams resulted in some unusual teams featuring at the top. Zimbabwe and Brazil, for example, finished the year without a defeat. Despite that, Australia and England were the best teams.

Anjali Chand’s figures (2.1-2-0-6, 1-0-3-0, 4-3-1-4) made her the most economical bowler of the year.
