Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019-20: Preview – October 2

Nine matches of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019-20 will be played on October 2, three each in Elite Groups A and B, and three in the Plate Group. In other words, there will be no match for Elite Group C.

Elite Group A (at Bengaluru and Alur): Karnataka vs Chhattisgarh, Kerala vs Jharkhand, Andhra vs Saurashtra

Both Karnataka and Chhattisgarh have played 2 matches and won both, so that this match will decide the group topper at this stage. Jharkhand are yet to win, but they may fancy their chance against Kerala (1 win, 2 defeats). Andhra and Saurashtra have won 1 and lost 1 each.

Elite Group B (at Vadodara): Himachal Pradesh vs Odisha, Punjab vs Haryana, Maharashtra vs Vidarbha

All 6 matches in Elite Group B have been washed out till now. There is little one can do but wait for the rain to clear and play to resume.

Plate Group (at Dehradun): Assam vs Nagaland, Pondicherry vs Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh vs Chandigarh

Nagaland and Chandigarh are the only winless sides in the Plate Group. Every other team has won exactly 1 match.
