On the penultimate day of the league stages of IPL 2019, there was very little change to the run charts – there were half-centuries from Riyaan Parag, Rishabh Pant, Kane Williamson, Shimron Hetmyer and Gurkeerat Singh, but with none of them featuring in the top 10 of the run charts, there was little shake-up of note.

Among the bowlers, there was more notworthy happenings. Shreyas Gopal finished his season with a 2/21 against Delhi Capitals – that meant he was just one wicket behind Imran Tahir at No.2 and five behind top wicket-taker Kagiso Rabada.

Yuzvendra Chahal finished his season at No.4 on the bowlers charts after moving to 18 wickets. Khaleel Ahmed took 3/37 to sit at No.5 – he might yet have a chance to move higher, should Hyderabad qualify for the play-offs. His team-mate, Rashid Khan, was at No.8 after an expensive 1/44.
