IPL 2019, Orange and Purple Caps, updated after League Stage: Rahul signs off on a high

KL Rahul‘s 36-ball 71 on Sunday evening took him to 593 runs in IPL 2019, 99 behind the tally of Orange Cap holder David Warner, while Chris Gayle (28 in 28) signed out at fifth spot. Andre Russell scored a duck later at night, which meant he stayed on 510.

Even later, Quinton de Kock got a 23-ball 30. His 492 is the most among all active players. However, he needs 201 to clinch the Orange Cap, which is going to be a tall ask.

The wicketless Imran Tahir (4-0-36-0) stayed 4 wickets behind Purple Cap holder, his South African teammate Kagiso Rabada, who will take no further part in the tournament. But Tahir will have at least two matches to get his hands on the cap.
