With a ballistic half-century, Andre Russell surged to the top of the run-scorers’ list and is currently the proud incumbent of the Orange Cap. He scored a 28-ball 62 against Delhi Capitals – his first half-century of the tournament, having missed out marginally in the first two outings – and is five runs ahead of the second-placed David Warner on the run charts.
Chris Gayle made it to the top three after scoring 40 against Mumbai Indians on Saturday. There was also changes further down, with Prithvi Shaw entering the fray after hammering a 99 against Kolkata.
