The third ODI of the 3-match series between India and West Indies will be played at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack, the home of Odisha Cricket Association. The ground has also acted as home venue for Deccan Chargers and Kolkata Knight Riders at times.

A multisport arena, Barabati Stadium also hosts football matches, and had been the main venue of the 2012 Santosh Trophy including the final.

The ground has witnessed 2 Tests, 18 ODIs, and 2 T20Is so far. The ODIs include a match in each of the 1987 and 1996 World Cups.

The most famous moment on the ground took place in the first ever Test here, when Kapil Dev dismissed Rumesh Ratnayake to become the first Indian to take 300 Test wickets. The match is also remembered for Dilip Vengsarkar’s 166, his highest score and one of the finest innings of his career.

In 1997-98, Mohammad Azharuddin and Ajay Jadeja added an unbroken 275 against Zimbabwe, still the highest unbeaten stand in ODIs for any wicket and the highest ever fourth-wicket partnership.
