In the first match of Women’s T20 World Cup, Deepti Sharma scored an unbeaten 49 to help India post 132 for the loss of four wickets. During the chase, Australia Women failed to stabilize the innings against Indians and only two of their batters could reach double digits. Alyssa Healy ended with 51 off 35 and Ashleigh Gardner was gone for 34 runs. No wonder the Aussies lost the match by 17 runs. Healy is leading the batting table after the first fixture of the tournament.
