Kagiso Rabada increased his lead over others on the wickets chart, while Ishant Sharma returned 4-0-21-1.

In response, Shikhar Dhawan (97* in 62) and Rishabh Pant (46 in 31) effectively sealed the match with a 105-run stand (off just 69 balls) for the third wicket. With 5 required for a win, Colin Ingram hit a six, thereby depriving Dhawan a maiden IPL hundred.

Royal Challengers Bangalore have signed up Dale Steyn as replacement for the injured Nathan Coulter-Nile, who is nursing a stiff back. RCB was Steyn’s first IPL franchise: he had played for them from 2008 to 2010.

Over years, Steyn has also played for Deccan Chargers and Gujarat Lions. Both teams are defunct now.
