The Qualifier between Sydney Sixers and Melbourne Stars saw Josh Philippe scoring 34 runs along with Jordan Silk (25*) and Steve Smith (24) to set a total of 142/7. Melbourne Stars failed to reach the target and were wrapped up for 99. Marcus Stoinis could add only five runs but remained at the top of the following table. Philippe moved up three places to be ranked at fifth position. Glenn Maxwell scored 16 runs and made reentry to the top ten.
