The Challenger of Big Bash League between Melbourne Stars and Sydney Thunder saw Nick Larkin scoring an unbeaten 83 to help the Stars post 194/2. Marcus Stoinis also scored 83 to give a strong platform. In reply, the Thunder could manage 166/8 and Alex Ross ended as their highest scorer with 58 off 38. Stoinis retained his leading position in the top ten list after the performance as Glenn Maxwell entered the top ten again after scoring 4*.
