Alex Hales’ 35-ball 59 in the Knockout at Adelaide Oval helped Sydney Thunder knock Adelaide Strikers out of BBL 2019-20. Hales, named Player of the Match, also rose several posts to become the second-highest scorer of the tournament: he is now 44 runs behind Marcus Stoinis.

Three Strikers batsmen – Jonathan Wells (34 in 27), Jake Weatherald (18 in 14), and Alex Carey (28 in 32) – finished at third, eighth, and tenth places as well.

Among Strikers bowlers, Peter Siddle (4-0-21-2) and Rashid Khan (4-0-24-1) finished the day at joint fourth, and Wes Agar (4-0-43-1) at joint sixth. Chris Jordan, who did not play on Saturday, is joint tenth.
